Favourites: January 2015

I've had a rough start to February. I've been really sick with the flu for over a week and fell behind on a lot of things at school with deadlines the coming week. This meant I've unfortunately been absent on the blog, but school always has to come first. But! I've managed to finally find some time to write my post about my January Favourites! I am really excited to share it with you guys as I've got some really good stuff to tell you about!

La Roche-Posay Serosinchere )
You've all heard of this one I'm sure. It's the famous Serozinc that is near impossible to get a hold of outside of France, though Escentual.com has started stocking it so if you live in the UK you're in luck! Serozinc is a fantastic toner. It pretty much does everything you want a skincare product to do - soothes and help keep skin clear and spot free without the typical drying effect. This is an overall-fantastic product, buy it if you get the chance!

Ling Skincare Hydra Squalanehere )
This is an incredible serum. If you've got dehydrated or dry skin you really need to try this. I apply this in the evening and wake up with skin so smooth I almost can't believe it. My skin is almost always dehydrated, but this has kept it in good shape since I started using it at the beginning of January, even on days when I haven't just used it the night before. This is one of the best serums I've ever used, seriously - try this! (Or anything by Ling, it's all really good!)

May Lindstrom Blue Cocoon here )
I've been eyeing May Lindstrom skincare for a while and was beyond excited when I saw the range finally become available in Norway. Blue Cocoon is one of her famous products, a kind of "all-purpose" balm meant to heal skin in any type of discomfort. It does. This moisturises my skin so well, calms it down, helps blemishes heal.. and generally all the good stuff you would want a cream to do. I'll be writing a more in-depth review, but the short version is; worthy of the hype!

Frederic Malle Carnal Flowerhere )
I know I've featured this perfume a lot, but you don't buy a perfume for this kind of cash without really, really loving it. Carnal Flower is a flowery scent which isn't typically to my tastes, but this isn't the overpowering rose type of flower scent. This is incredibly complicated, yet sophisticated and calm at the same time. It takes on a bit of a green note on my skin which makes me love it even more. It also lasts incredibly well, and I can smell it all day as the scent is so specific. Have a whiff of this if you can, and do it quick as Frederic Malle was just bought by Estée Lauder and who knows if they will end up changing these!

Laura Mercier Mineral Powder in 'Real Sand' ( here )
After trying a sample of the Bare Minerals Mineral Foundation in December my eyes have opened to the world of mineral foundation. I've bought the full size of the Bare Minerals, but knew I just had to try the hyped Laura Mercier version as well. This is really nice. It covers quite a bit, looks really natural and gives a natural finish. I've also loved using this in combination with a tinted moisturiser for a really flawless look.

Dior Iconic Overcurl Mascara ( here )
This is one of my favourite mascaras. It curls, adds volume and length. The brush is also really good for building up the volume and length, without getting clumpy. The only downside is it's a bit harder to get off than others, but that also means it stays on really well all day.

Dior Addict Extreme Lipstick in '356 Cherie Bow'here )
I've had this for a while and I've always really liked it, but the past month I've started using it almost daily. This gives a really nice natural brown/red tint to the lips that makes you look really put-together, but not like you are trying too hard or wearing tons of makeup. It's also not at all drying, which is especially important during the winter months.

OPI 'Samoan Sand'here ) & Ciaté 'Ballet Slippers'here )
Finally two nail polishes that I forgot to include initially as I took the first round of pictures, but I've loved so much I just had to include anyway. The combination of one coat of Samoan Sand with Ballet Slippers on top is so pretty I've not been able to stop staring at my nails when wearing it. If you've got these two lying around, or something similar - try it! I can only describe it as stunning!
