[054] M2 Plus Anycast guide and review

The Anycast device is an HDMI dongle that connects your mobile phone to your NON android TV using the cast feature of your mobile device. The cast feature of mobile phone is to project the mobile phone's screen to your TV.

I got mine from shopee at a very cheap price but unfortunately, there were alot of reviews indicating that the Anycast does NOT work.

That said, i also had difficulties synchronizing my TV with my phone. But with patience and alot of experimentation, the following are the steps you need to perform to have a smooth cast between your TV and your phone.

1. Connect the Anycast to your TVs HDMI port. You also need to plug the USB that is attached to your Anycast NOT on the USB port of the TV but to another power supply thru a USB charging brick.

2. Now, change the source of your TV to the HDMI number where you inserted your Anycast. Below is the screen or similar that would be shown on your TV.

3. Go to the Wifi setup of your phone. You will see on the list of WiFi networks that there will be an Anycast network that would be available. Connect to that WiFi network.

NOTE:

The SSID and the Password is shown on your TV screen.

4. On your screen, you will see that the status of connection is changed.

On your phone, tap your cast (Mine is called Screen Cast).

5. It will start to search for your Anycast device.

6. While this is shown, just tap SETTINGS while it is still searching.

NOTE:

6.a. This will take forever if you wait for the searching to finish.

6.b. For the first time, there will be no devices that will be detected. So what you will do is to refresh you screen every now and then (sliding downwards) until your Anycast will appear on the screen.

6.c. Tap the ellipse button (3 dots going down) and make sure that the check box is checked.

7. Sometimes, you need to re-tap the Anycast when the TV and the phone is still unavailable. But once it connects, your phone will be displayed on your TV screen
