Organic Food, Do You Eat It?



Commercialisation of the human food chain is allowing unwanted chemicals to be eaten. Modern fruit and vegetables do not contain as much of the vitamins and trace elements as in our grandparents day. Organic growing of your own fruit and vegetables is the only sure way to get the best and not the worst in your food. It's easy to do, it's good for you and it's fun!

Do you eat organic food? Do you actually know what you are eating? Or, do you only think you know? It may look like a carrot but is that all it is? Do you know what has been sprayed onto and absorbed by the leaves? Which chemicals have been mixed into the soil and taken up by the roots?



Herbicides against weeds, pesticides against insects, fast-acting enzymes to promote growth; all are used regularly in food growing. Ultimately, tiny quantities end up in the food we eat. But our bodies do not need pesticides etc to help it function – quite the reverse! Hence the ever-increasing negative reactions in people; respiratory and allergy problems are all very much on the increase.



So how can you be sure that what you and your family eat is all you want to eat? The easiest way is to control how the plants you eat are grown – Grow Your Own (G. Y.O.



Growing healthy, organic fruit and vegetables is not difficult. It doesn’t need a lot of space and is really good fun. The latest research is showing that modern fresh food has less than 50% of the vitamins and trace elements than the same fruit and vegetables grown by our grandfathers. These are just the things we DO need. Organic food will give you the added bonuses of real freshness (not the 3+ days-old "freshness" of the supermarkets) and added flavour,
